Tony Jannus Park
Located at the intersection of Bayshore Boulevard and Platt Street, Tony Janus Park is situated near the beginning of the Bayshore Sidewalk. The park was erected in February 1956 to honor Tony Janus, who completed the first-ever commercial flight from St. Petersburg to Tampa on Jan. 1, 1914.

Our community centers, parks and playgrounds provide a safe, structured and fun environment. The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department offers activities and classes for all ages: tots, youth, adults and seniors.
