City of Tampa's Rental & Move-In Assistance Program (RMAP)
Phase III - Prescreen & Application
The City initiated the Rental and Move In Assistance Program (RMAP) in March 2022 to assist residents with housing stability because of increased rents.
With a 2022-2023 budget of $6 million, the RMAP program has assisted close to 1,000 residents with allocations that range from $4,000 to $9,000. The program is approaching full allocation of funds and will therefore be closed on Friday, January 13, 2023, until new funds become available.
Because of the limited funds remaining in the RMAP program, 100 applications will be accepted on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, and Thursday, January 12, 2023. Therefore, we will be closing the program for 2023 on Friday, January 13, 2023. The City of Tampa remains committed to housing stability, affordability, and options for all.
This program has closed
The City of Tampa’s Rental and Move-in Assistance Program (RMAP) provides residents with financial assistance that may include but is not limited to security deposits, first and last month’s rent, and/or an ongoing monthly rental subsidy for City of Tampa residents. Financial assistance will be determined per household.
Please complete the prescreen below to determine eligibility. If deemed eligible, the system will allow you to proceed to complete the application. If you experience any difficulty completing the application, please call (813) 274-5151 (Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm) for assistance.
