City of Tampa's Rental & Move-In Assistance Program (RMAP)
Phase V - Eligibility Screening
RMAP applications will be accepted on Tuesdays and Thursdays only, beginning at 9am, until the maximum number of applications has been received.
Types of Assistance:
- New Move-in
- Move-in Costs (Not to exceed 3x Rent)
- Eligible to Receive Monthly Subsidy
- Current Leasers
- Up to 12 Months of Subsidy Assistance
- Monthly Subsidy amounts are based on household AMI%
- Can pay past due rental balance (+ late fees)
- No more than 2 months past due
Current Lease
Program Requirements:
- Must have an active 12-month lease agreement (More than 90 days remaining)
- Unit must be located within the city limits of Tampa
- Must have a stable source of income that demonstrates the ability to pay monthly rent (Up to 140% AMI)
- No More than 2 months of past due rent
New Move-In
Program Requirements:
- Must have been approved for a unit (Move-in date within 45 days)
- Unit must be located within the city limits of Tampa
- Must have a stable source of income that demonstrates the ability to pay monthly rent (Up to 140% AMI)
