This service allows you to renew or pay for your City of Tampa
Business Tax License (including Rental Certificates and Foreclosed
Property Registrations) by using your MasterCard, Visa credit card, Discover Card, or American Express.
Begin by locating the account by Control number, Business address,

EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011, CHAPTER 205.194 (1) Florida Statutes was amended to require taxpayers
renewing a local business tax receipt to practice any profession or engage in
any business or occupation regulated by the Florida Department of Business and
Professional Regulation, the Florida Supreme Court, or any other state
regulatory agency, including any board or commission thereof, must exhibit an
active state certification, registration, or license, or proof of copy of the

After completing your payment, you will receive both an online payment receipt plus an emailed
payment receipt (to the email account you provided) for your records. You may
also print your Business Tax Receipt form for posting in your place of

Pursuant to State Law, taxes are due and payable July 1st, and may be paid during the months
of July, August, and September without penalty. After September 30th
penalties will accrue at a rate of 10% for October and 5% for each additional
month, not to exceed 25%. However, in addition to the above penalties, $250 may
be assessed if license is delinquent after January 1st of each year.
A 25% penalty shall be imposed on any person engaged in any new business, occupation or
profession without first obtaining a City of Tampa Business License.
This license is a business tax only. It does not permit the licensee to violate any existing
regulatory or zoning laws of the state, county or cities, nor does it exempt
the licensee from any other license or permits that may be required by law.
Conditions & Use For Online Payment Service
City of Tampa online payment (ecommerce) services are not available during
certain hours due to normally scheduled maintenance activities according to the
schedule below. If your business transaction has a due date associated with it,
it is your responsibility to ensure that your payment is made by that due date.
Delays caused by unavailability of any online service DO NOT warrant the
reversal of late fees, as payments may also be made by other means, such as
postal mail and walk-in during normal business hours.

you will be presented with an online receipt to print for your records. If you
provide a valid email address, you will also receive a receipt via email. Your
payment will be processed at the close of the current business day, except for
weekends, holidays or after 9:00 pm, in which case your payment will be
processed at the end of the next business day.

services are designed to ensure the privacy of your credit card information,
name, address, email and other information you provide to us.
